Ethimologisch hat entfernen etwas mit Ferne zu tun, aber es bedeutet heute "wegnehmen, wegmachen etc." Z.B. Ich entferne einen Fleck --> wegmachen.

Ich habe die Anführungszeichen ersetzt. Das mittlere Paar hätte ich persönlich weggelassen.
