The sentence sounds a bit strange with "he left her going" at the end. I would say:
...has valiantly kept running the small jewelry store he left her.
or. has valiantly kept operating the small.....
(In English "valiantly" sounds very literary and is not popular usage; "bravely" or "courageously" is more common.
