Egy nyelvészek által megalkotott mesterséges mondat, mely a finn ás a magyar nyelv hasonlóságát hívatott tükrözni.
(A mondatnak nem sok értelme van, de jobb példamondatot nem tudtak létrehozni - olyan távoli a rokonság időben.)

It's an artificial sentence of linguists which wants to show the similarity between Hungarian and Finnish.
(However, the sentence doesn't make too much sence, but they couldn't create a better example; the relationship is so far in time.)

A mondat normálisan úgy hangozna: Egy hal úszik a vízben.
(Mivel döglött hal nem tud úszni a vízben, se a víz felett, ezért fölösleges adalék a mondatban.)

Why 'eleven' and not 'élő' ?? But, yes, none of these words are borrowings and we can find Uralic etymological entries for each of these words in the Tower of Babel:

élő/elävä

hal/kala
http://starling.rinet.ru/cgi-bi...30&root=config
úszik/ui
http://starling.rinet.ru/cgi-bi...02&root=config
víz/veden
http://starling.rinet.ru/cgi-bi...57&root=config
alatt/alla
http://starling.rinet.ru/cgi-bi...+7&root=config

As for the Hungarian article 'a'/'az', it probably just came from 'e'/'ez' (Finnish 'että'), which does have an entry as well:

I don't know why.

(There's a variant in which there's an "úszkál" instead of "úszik".)
