The fact that the translation is in Polish doesn’t inherently mean it has to be catholic. The Japanese sentence, though spiritual, doesn’t call any God explicitly. I think that “Doświadcz mnie, wystaw mnie na próbę, wybadaj moje nerki i serce.” without the christian-God-referring “Panie” would be more appropriate.

The problem has nothing to do with Polish or catholicism specifically. The original Japanese sentence "わが腎と心とを錬りきよめたまへ" is a fragment of Psalm 26 (26,2), as the comment in Japanese says. The Polish version is just taken from Polish language version of Book of Psalms. The fact that no explicit god is present in the original Japanese is quite irrelevant, as this is not direct translation of the sentence, but rather text equivalence, which is normal in translating.

By the way, "Panie" is neither necessarily god-referring, nor Christian God-referring.
