Most of the sentences I added in Mongolian can be linked to the English sentences for the simple reason that they are translations of sentences taken from Tatoeba. I will do this once I have added all of the ones I have (still around 400+ to go).

Just double checking, to link a sentence, I just need to put the translation in English in, and it will automatically connect to the existing sentence, right?

Basically, yes, but your English translation has to be exactly the same as an existing one for that to happen.

That shouldn't be a problem then. I have those all copied on.
Just in case, might as well ask, is there a way of bulk adding/linking sentences through importing an Excel file? Or do I have to do it one by one, as I'm doing it right now?

There used to be a way that I could import sentences for members, but that's not possible anymore.

It was possible for members to translate offline on an Excel spreadsheet, and I could import the sentences for members and have them automatically-linked to the existing sentences in the database.

It was a useful feature that didn't get updated when the code was updated to the newer version of CakePHP.

Note that if you are adding them one by one and the translations are next to the English on your spreadsheet, you would likely save time in the long run, by adding the English translation right away, rather than needing to come back to add them later.
