Ut videre potes, "continens" (sive "terra continens)" congregatio est plurimarum terrarum, itaque "terra" huiusmodi pro "patria" dici potest. Hae sententiae significationis eiusdem sunt:

=> America non est terra, sed congregatio terrarum.
