What language is it? I'm almost sure it's not Esperanto (although it's a perfect verb in that language). If it's Italian, please change flag to Italian. Another language? Change accordingly.

If it's Esperanto, then it's not a sentence, so please change it to a full sentence.

It's Portuguese...

Yes, this is what I suspected :)
By the way, what does it mean? "I lost", as in a game or in a war?

Is Sadness active? I hope s/he received the message and will change the flag.

> By the way, what does it mean? "I lost", as in a game or in a war?

It can also be an object, like a pen, a book, money...
Cadê o dinheiro? = Where is the money?
Perdi(-o).

E o jogo? = How about the game?
Perdi(-o).

Dê-me o mapa. = Give me the map.
Perdi(-o).

As you can see, in Portuguese you don't need to use the pronoun as often as in Spanish (LO perdí)... Sometimes it's impossible for us to translate "it", in English; "lo", in Spanish; "le", in French...

Thanks. I didn't know that.

I'm trying to learn Portuguese over the past weeks, but it doesn't seem to be an easy language. It seems to me more difficult than Spanish, at least when judging from the various examples that I have seen so far.

It's harder than Spanish, I have to admit it. That's because in Portuguese we have a lot of nasal sounds... Spanish speakers in general have problems with that (we can easily recognize one). If you can pronounce them, you'll easily master Portuguese. I think you can, since we have some nasal sounds in French (dimANche, courANt, ENfANt). Its grammar is not that hard, it looks like Spanish.

Anyway, you can count on me here and in Skype if you need...
Be happy!

Thanks. I guess we shall use both channels :)
