Should 週年 be 周年?
「５０週年」は「１週間」の「週」を使っているので誤りですね。
「年」が「５０周」するので「５０周年」が正しいです。
I'm not sure so I'll post it here instead -
"To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the A-Bomb dropped on Hiroshima, a Hydrogen bomb was dropped on the Pacific Ocean."
I'm quite confident with the subordinate clause but I'm not sure about the second half of the sentence.
This Japanese sentence doesn't look natural to me.
Since the owner seems not to respond to comments, I posted my version as a new sentence.
