I agree that 発刊部数 is incorrect, and that 発行部数 should be used instead.
That sentence is the only one containing 発刊 - we should try and add another. Perhaps "彼女の本は来年発刊になります", or something like that?

Not a problem! "君の本、いつ発刊される予定？" is a much better example for 発刊 than "その新聞は発刊部数が多い。" was.
