Raggione, du hast vollkommen Recht. Dieses Wort ist ja nicht in Deutsch
entstanden. Recherchieren, Restaurant, Café, Chauffeur, Chaussee, Allee,
Lieutenant usw. sind auch fragwürdig.

Das Wort ,,metro" ist auch internationalisch (used in multiple languages).
Zählt das was? Kennt jedermann?

I'm actually saying that even though the word looks particularly French, it's actually used in a lot of languages in Europe, so it's fine.
