What's the meaning of the Japanese? Perhaps "What are the measures of time?"

OK. It still strikes me as an unlikely sentence, but it's not wrong.

(1) Could the Turkish, Japanese, and Romanian sentences be translated equally well in the singular or plural? For example: "What is the unit of time?" versus "What are the units of time?"

(2) Could the Turkish, Japanese, and Romanian sentences be translated equally well by using the word "measure" (or "measures") as by using "unit" (or "units")?

@AlanF_US
About (1):
Yes.

About (2):
Hmm, I suppose it's possible to translate the word "measure" to 単位, to be honest, I'm not sure the meaning(/how to translate into Japanese) of "the measures of time". However, if I were to translate the Japanese sentence [#150593] into English, I would use the expression "units of time" as CK's suggests.

@AlanF_US
(1): Yes. There is no difference.
(2): The translation by "units" is a more modern and contemporary translation than measures. The use of "measures" (in Romanian "măsuri") has an archaic nuance which I mainly encountered in biblical texts or texts before the 1800s. But the original English sentence has something archaic about it, which I can't put my finger on. But "units" also sounds more technical. Maybe it could be "measures" if the answer to the question was as common as days, weeks or years, but still it sounds slightly archaic.

I'll change this to "What are the units of time?" and leave it to others to decide what to do with the Romanian and Turkish.

The use of 'measures' is perfectly fine here. It is commonly used. (for Romanian)
