In English, it is correct to construct a sentence that has the subject "liking" a direct object. In Spanish, this never occurs. In Spanish, a different construction with the verb "gustar" is used.

I'm starting = estOY empezando

@marafon

Tu commences à me plaire. ≠ I'm starting to like you. = Je commence à t'apprécier = estoy empezando a gustarte

Besides, the French « tu commences à me plaire » actually means that you're getting on my nerves...

@Marina, querer y gustar no es lo mismo, a mí me puede gustar alguien como para tener sexo y puedo querer a alguien y no precisamente tener sexo porque tal vez no me guste físicamente. :)
