"feel bad" in English is normally used for regret or pity: I feel bad (for what I did) I felt a little bad (for the way I spoke to her) etc. In this sense, it's better to say "not feel well" or "not feel so hot" as in the original sentence.

Commented on the wrong English sentence?

I translated it off the Japanese line, though, so I'm unsure on how close it is to the other languages'.

You're right - I meant to comment on "I feel a little bad today" - sorry :(
