This sentence is one of those that mixes dialects: the spelling is British English, and so is "motorway", but "ramp" isn't (it's called a 'slip road' in the UK).
Is there an agreed way of dealing with sentences that mix dialects? I would adopt it if there were no objections to me editing to:
"Incidentally, a motorway slip road is being built a few hundred metres from my clinic."
Would that match the Japanese?
Also, ランプ is defined in the dictionary as "lamp". Now I am not even sure whether the sentence makes sense.
