关着? showing the stable situation.

关掉了 - "turned off"

关起 - apparently wrong, because 起 means activation, and not the opposite.

Thanks Shanghainese for your comment. I posted this sentence exactly because it sounded weird... I was taught this last week and I found it really strange. Feel free to delete it or correct it if you think it's wrong. I don't want other people to think it's right if it isn't.

If you were taught it orally, then probably the original was 关机了。

I cannot change the sentence since it belongs to you. An option for you is to disown it, so that other contributors can add modifications. But I think a better choice is to wait for the Chinese native speakers' comments.

Thanks. I've already corrected it, after asking some other native speakers. They all told me the right sentences would be 关着的 or 关机了· Actually I was taught the sentence in a written form, by a "sort of native speaker" (a Chinese girl who speaks dialect at home and maybe doesn't have a good putonghua). Thank you again. Let's see if someone else wants to comment on this. Have a nice day!
