C'est inadmissible, parce que ni le français ni l'anglais ne sont ses langues natales...

«voir» en français est ici idiomatique. Il ne s'agit pas forcément de la «voir» au sens littéral, mais d'aller à elle, pour lui parler, se plaindre, etc...

De même, on dit en français «aller VOIR le médecin» mais l'objet de la visite au médecin n'est pas de le voir, mais de le consulter...

Ah d'accord. J'ai cru qu'il s'agissait d'une faute de frappe car toutes les autres traductions avaient "vers" :

Je me précipitai vers ma mère.
Je me suis précipité vers ma mère.
Je me suis précipitée vers ma mère.

c'est un autre sens possible de la phrase anglaise "I ran to my mother"
