Quelle mouche t'a piqué? ( Which fly bit you?) asked my French friend - very confused I said no fly bit me - what was she on about? She explained that as I was in a bad mood it is a saying that many French use to ask What is wrong with you?.
Interesting. That doesn’t mean that the literal translation is incorrect, of course, but it means that the French sentence should also be linked to “What is wrong with you?” which, predictably, already exists as sentence #1112157.
