Was ist dein Problem?

My problem is that I don't think your sentence is correct. For a start "Tor" is neuter and you have "die", and "warte an die Tor durch Haus" looks strange to me.

I am not a native German speaker and I would like a German native speaker to check this sentence.

I use Tatoeba to learn German and I don't want to learn "bad sentences."

Ecrit NNC en toute lettre et fait des phrases quand tu t'exprimes sur Tatoeba. Pourtant t'es sur un site de création de phrases non?? ça ne te réussit pas on dirait...
Contrairement à toi, je suis ici pour partager et progresser dans l'apprentissage des langues avec l'aide de tous les natifs...Qu'ils soit natifs germaniques, anglophones, espagnols, italiens, chinois, etc...
Drôle de mentalité que tu présentes ici...et malheureusement c'est souvent dans mes phrases que tu déposes ton grain de sel de mauvais goût! Abstiens toi un peu et concentre toi sur des commentaires constructifs!

Je viens de corriger ma phrase grâce à la précieuse contribution de Brauchinet.
Je me permet de partager l'explication de Brauchinet :

"das Tor" est neutre, donc on dit "an dem Tor". "an dem", ca devient normalement "am":
Ich warte am Tor.

de la maison: en allemand, c'est le génetif: "des Hauses". Ich warte am Tor des Hauses.
Mais au lieu de "Tor des Hauses" on utilise un seul mot: "Haustor"

Donc, je dirais:
Ich warte am Haustor.
oder
Ich warte am Eingangstor des Hauses.

@Fleur, I gave you this explanation because you asked me in a PM. I'm happy to help you this way, but please accept that most members agree that Tatoeba isn't the right place for learners to post their sentences and wait for corrections. And it's not the right place for basic grammar explanations.
There are other sites for that, like lang-8.
And honestly, that's my opinion, too. As patgfisher said, people expect sentences they can rely on. Some of Tatoeba's sentences are even used in learning materials elsewhere.
Nobody would like to use a phrasebook where half of the sentences are faulty.

Ich fände es aber sehr schade, wenn das Dein letzter Beitrag gewesen wäre. Bitte denke nicht, daß Georg oder Patrick es böse gemeint hätten. Es ist nur so, daß wir bei Tatoeba eher Lehrer als Schüler spielen (indem wir der Welt unsere jeweilige Muttersprache präsentieren). ☺

I agree with Lisa. Béatrice, please don't stop contributing to Tatoeba. Maybe you just have to change your approach.
I'm also learning German. My way to train it here is translating German sentences to my own language -in this case Spanish-. I try to be as accurate as possible with the translation, but of course everybody makes mistakes. In the worst case scenario, the translation is inaccurate but the sentence is still useful, because it was written by a native speaker.
I hope you find my advice useful!

Some of us do create non-native sentences off one's head occasionally, but being self-aware, we put @NNC to any such sentence so that it is hopefully eventually proofread and corrected if need be, and even if not, people will still know that this is not a native sentence and it shouldn't be instinctively trusted.
(That said, I see no reason to put @NNC tickets to sentences that one takes from an external native source.)

That's correct. I am only thinking that once a sentence goes into the Corpus, people at a later time might rely on it to help them learn that particular language, and it would be a pity if the sentence was grammatically or otherwise flawed. As mentioned in a comment above, "NNC" is just a flag that the sentence needs to be checked by a native speaker of the language involved.
