Jes, verŝajne vi pravas. Certe usonanoj kaj amerikanoj estas malsamaj vortoj. Sed laŭsence, se vi vidas la vorton "Amerikaner" en la germana, oni pensas pri "US-Amerikaner", sen detale skribi "US". Pro tio mi tradukis unue usonanoj.

Tio ofte estas problemo.
En la germana aŭ angla frazo oni ja nur legas pri amerikanoj, do anoj de la amerika kontinento. Povas esti kanadanoj, haitianoj, peruanoj, argentinanoj k.t.p.
Se estus skribita pri "US-Amerikaner", do anoj de Usono, nomus usonanoj.
