I'm nearly expert but i know as this.
Shouldn't this be "made from GMOs" or "made with GMOs"?
> Shouldn't this be "made from GMOs" or "made with GMOs"?
I think you are technically correct, but it seems to be in fairly wide-spread use as "Products with GMO" anyway.
I did a quick Google search for usage and after filtering "GMO content", "GMO ingredients" and "GMO labels" out, there were only around a hundred cases of it[1]. Searching for "products made from GMOs" gave around two thousand.[2]
I'm not going to argue at what point something is wide-spread. Users can judge that for themselves.
PS. Remarkably, searching for "products made with GMOs" gave nearly a thousand results, but a search for that OR "products made from GMOs" gave well over a five thousand![3] I have no idea how that works...
[1] http://www.google.is/search?q=%...ingredients%22
[2] http://www.google.is/search?q=%...e+from+GMOs%22
[3] http://www.google.is/search?q=%...e+from+GMOs%22
> Searching for "products made from GMOs" gave around two thousand.[2]
Not really. There are only 97 actual pages found by that search.
(Hint: Google hit estimates suck).
Here's what you get with yahoo.co.jp (all actual hits, not estimates)
"products made from GMOs" 82
"products with GMO content" 46
"products with GMO labels" 12
"products made from GMOs" 82
"products with GMO" 210 (-45 -12)
So, "products with GMO" is actually the most common search string of those checked.
