Ĉu (ek)koleri vere estas transitiva verbo? Ĉu oni ne diru "al" aŭ eble "kontraŭ" siaj infanoj, ĉi tie?

Laŭ PIV2005 tiu vorto estas transitiva aŭ netransitiva. Jen tiea ekzemplo el Eamenhofa teksto, kiun mi mem trovas iom stranga: "li eble kolerus nin, ke ni estas tiel obstinaj."
Nu, laŭ mi tiu ekzemplo ne vere pruvas, ke "koleri" estas transitiva verbo: kutime oni diras (kaj mi tiel ŝanĝos la frazon) "koleri kontraŭ" kaj principe eblas anstataŭigi la prepozicion per akuzativo - se tio ne estigas konfuzon.
