I have three recommended improvements to this sentence.
1. the English word "type" is being used to indicate a plural. Using it in English just because it's there in the Japanese is not the only way to handle this.
2. I don't like the choice of English words for 食品 or 雑貨, either.

They sell many food products and general supplies.

3. Of course, they sell them. Again, I'd rather not just use what's in Japanese just because it's there. It still sounds a little unsaid to my ear. Not wrong, just not often said. Let's use carry, and assume the listener knows they of course also sell it.

They carry many food products and general goods.

We can even tweak あそこで.

That store carries a lot of grocery products and general supplies.

Now we have something that sounds like a well-written English sentence, without considering any thing at all about the fact it was originally Japanese.
