Depending on the person being addressed, this sentence may use "déjeme" instead.

It's okay to link two sentences in the same language, but only if they have the exact same meaning (or very, very close to it). In this case, they are not interchangeable, but they could both be correct translations of the English sentence (since English doesn't have the tú/Ud. distinction).

@ismailzali: Right now, you can't link/unlink sentences unless you are a trusted user. You can, however, leave comments and hope that a trusted user or moderator will see them.

If this doesn't seem very efficient, don't worry; you can become a trusted user eventually. It's not hard. Also, I think that in the next version of Tatoeba, if you add a duplicate as a translation of another sentence, it will make a link instead, even for normal users (but this won't help with unlinking).
