Paul, Francis et al. Is the Japanese correct? I just was sent the following: "The example sentence for this entry appears to have "sine" and "cosine" round the wrong way in the Japanese part. Mathematically, the Japanese version is correct." I agree. It looks to me as though the Japanese says sine/cosine.

OK I think two things happened here. 1. I mistranslated the Japanese to English. 2. The second speaker is giving bad advice.

Perhaps rotate コサイン and サイン in the Japanese? Then it would be logical.

Eh, wouldn't bother me. Although I think it's rather funny to imagine someone coming to WWWJDIC for maths help and going away with the wrong answer. ;-)
