Edit: It looks like I am wrong about the physical nuance of 接し方; please disregard

Probably something more like (and I as well am probably slightly off): "Another observed change in the behavior of families is the way that parents interact physically with their children."

Hello dant00ine and welcome to Tatoeba! ^^

mookeee certainly knows better than I do, but I think the translation is good. If you’re having doubts regarding the expression 接し方, have a look at these dictionaries (especially ruigo for the nuances).

Ahh ok I see! I was thinking that since 接する means something like touching or overlapping it was weird but it looks like 接し方 is a different nuance DX

Also note that this pair of sentences actually comes from the Tanaka corpus, which include some questionable translations [1]. Here the "見られる" part is completely missing from the English sentence. If you’d like to, you can add your own English translation by clicking on the 文/A top-left button.

Just add "noticeable": "Another noticeable change in family life".

@dant00ine Yes 接する means touching/overlapping, but it’s also used in human interactions. See definition ④ of https://www.weblio.jp/content/%...81%99%E3%82%8B

I tentatively added a sentence to illustrate this: #7299018.

@gillux ah! Though I don't understand French I believe I now understand the nuance. Thanks for your help gillux!
@fjay69 Couldn't it be either the causative or passive though? I suppose in that case it could either mean "another change you can see", or "another observed change" right? Confusing...
