Nyungar [NYS]

@sabretou - I haven't found any flag even after browsing https://www.google.com/search?q...hrome&ie=UTF-8 . Any ideas?

I've seen one thing resembling a flag in the online course I'm auditing, but I don't want to simply lift someone's cultural heritage, especially not to use it in a context where I don't understand it. As such I made this, using the language code and language name: https://i.postimg.cc/VNj6mkPH/nys-little.png
The idea behind adding this sentence was to make it even slightly less of a pain for contributors to be able to sign up and start contributing in this language.

Perhaps we can use the Australian Aboriginal Flag with a language code on the side? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A...boriginal_Flag
If that is not appropriate, we can go ahead with the flag provided by shekitten.

I like your idea better, @sabretou since it "shows us" where this language is spoken. @shekitten, any objection?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F...ginal_Flag.svg
The page for this design says: "The flag is restricted in Australia, but does not pass the threshold of originality in the United States."
The Wikipedia article says: "The Australian Aboriginal Flag was designed in 1971 by Aboriginal artist Harold Thomas, who is descended from the Luritja people of Central Australia and holds intellectual property rights to the flag's design."
To me this isn't a matter of copyright but of good faith and of decolonization. We want to act in good faith and be a welcoming place for Aboriginal contributors, so I think we should ask before using a design like that.

That's a good observation. It's probably best to go ahead with shekitten's flag for now. We can maybe have a native speaker suggest or design a more appropriate flag in the future.
