I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news: our dear friend Yossi Shemer passed away not long ago in the hospital, after a sudden deterioration in his illness that occurred during the night.
He headed our national Esperanto association for many years, and was the living spirit in all our activities. He has been my teacher of Esperanto many years ago, my mentor, my dear friend and a brother to me. May he rest in peace.

Indeed, you are a pioneer in this respect, or so it seems :) I'm sure we'll be able to enjoy your translated sentences (those who wish to learn Urdu, or others who need to use the language).

I can well identify with your feeling of loneliness. Not long ago I felt I was the only one contributing in Hebrew (for quite some time), but then I was joined by others, and it felt cozier. :)

Maybe you could recruit others to contribute in your own language. I gave a lecture on Tatoeba at a conference of the Hebrew Wikipedia at the Tel Aviv University, and then I was able to increase the number of contributors to the "Hebrew department" here ;-)
