I sent a private message to Trang a few days ago. I hope she will address these problems soon. If she doesn’t say explicitly that the still unowned sentences from the Tanaka Corpus may be modified, then deleting them will probably be the best option, so they no longer ‘pollute’ Tatoeba and we can start discussing other matters.

Can the wiki be translated, too? I noticed that I cannot log in there with my usual name and password, but I cannot sign up, either.

So, provided that I shall soon be able to contribute not only suggestions but actual translations, will the changes I make really take effect? I am absolutely clueless how this works. It would be a pity if I started spending time on it and it would all be in vain. ☺

I wanted to work on the German translation of the user interface on Launchpad, but I noticed that all I could do was make suggestions, and some items seemed not to be there.

Do I need special rights, or do the newest suggestions automatically replace the current ones? Are the translations still updated at all from Launchpad?

I should be very glad if someone could shed some light on this.
