Vielen Dank! Merci beaucoup, Christian ! 😊
It means that the reading aid (called 'furigana' in Japanese) has not been verified yet and could contain errors. Welcome to Tatoeba! 🙂
A great idea. It might help people come up with new sentences as are sought. Would it be possible to generate a random set of, say, ten searched expressions on the "add sentences" page?
Tatoeba is being super slow for me.
No, unfortunately we aren't. We can only switch them on and off.
I put OK ratings on German sentences owned by non-natives that I consider natural, but I don't systematically look for sentences to rate. I often check sentences that have been added since my last visit. I never ever rate my own sentences. I don't rate sentences owned by other natives. I don't give negative ratings. After I correct a sentence, I always put an OK rating and an OK tag on it. I give ratings so people know they can trust those sentences and the authors also know they are correct.
I was actually aware of that, but if we don't keep asking for it every year and a half, the tech team might think there's no demand. :)
There isn't as far as I know. I'm also wishing for an option to search for sentences not owned by particular users.
Yes, it can. Have you tried, and doesn't it work? It will remove reviews you put yourself.
Gib das hier in die Adreßzeile Deines Browsers ein:
***
Ersetze die Nummer 10016404 durch die Nummer des Satzes, von dem Du die Bewertung entfernen möchtest. Das funktioniert insbesondere bei gelöschten Sätzen.
Welcome to Tatoeba! 🙂
I like to think of Tatoeba as a kind of phraseological dictionary. Normal dictionaries have far too few example sentences. Tatoeba fills that gap. Instead of keywords, it offers a large collection of example sentences or even short paragraphs for the learner to browse. Tatoeba offers natural sentences written by people who use those languages in their daily lives. Obviously that is very useful material for anyone who is learning those languages.
It's all greyed out for me. It would probably be useful if that page had edit options.
I think what she really wants is a page that lists all sentences with reviewed furigana (especially those owned by *other* people), starting with the sentence with the most recently reviewed furigana and so forth. There could be further options like displaying them all or restricting the selection to those sentences that she herself reviewed (without necessarily editing the sentences themselves). Does that make sense? :)
What do you mean by "tagged"? Are you talking about furigana? Are you coming from another project that is using our sentences? In any case, 落ち着く and 落ちつく should not be treated separately, as bunbuku has explained.
This discussion, which is obviously becoming far too long and personal and irrelevant for other users, is now closed. You may continue privately or somewhere else, but I would recommend focussing your energy on something constructive, such as adding sentences that will be fun to learn.
• Some languages that were added before the implementation of the rule that an ISO 639-3 code is required are exceptions that will remain as they are. We have been clear about this, and this is not up for discussion.
• Sentences can have multiple translations in the same language. (It's a good idea not to overdo it mindlessly.)
• It is not our concern how we can accommodate other projects. We are our own project: Tatoeba. We need not place restrictions upon ourselves because other projects would find that useful.
• Much has been said about various languages spoken in Northwest Africa. It has been quite enough.
Some relevant rules:
• Do not add sentences from copy-righted sources.
• Behave like mature adults.
• Do not submit sentences that will antagonize contributors or readers.
