Translate jakov's sentences
Hello everyone!
It's already been a long time since I've had time to edit sentences. I'm not a student anymore and work plus child consume a lot of time :)
However I've regularly observed from the distance what is going on at Tatoeba. Now I just found a little spare time (in the night :P ) and refreshed two of my scripts. I've put them on my Esperanto website (which is desperately inactive, just as the offline comunity :[ ) becaue the userscripts webhoster doesnt exist anymore.

For some unknown reason I've written the description for the "Tatoeba visual linker" in german, and I haven't translated it yet, but this will follow soon hopefully.
I hope the scripts work at the moment. Bug reports are welcome of course.
Regards, Jakov
PS: If i find time i will revive my other scripts too, if you have preferences which should come first, feel free to tell me.
PPS: There's unfortunately absolutely no garatee that i find time for this anytime soon, but i will try nonetheless.
That's a great idea. Could you tell me the regex you used?
the number function should still be there. you can activate the field by clicking on the icon (the one with the text field symbol). single click shows the field, another single click hides it again. double click locks it, it will appear automatically. at least that's how it is supposed to work.
You're welcome! I'm glad you like it :)
PS: please tell me if you find any bugs or have ideas for further improvement.
I have updated my Userscript
"Tatoeba Visual Linker"
=======================
As usual it can be downloaded here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/118538
It is now working again and features "add to cart" buttons for all sentences in the view (i hope that doesn't get anoying).
Regards,
jakov

Der "visual linker wird demnächst repariert (hab schon angefangen, ist aber noch nicht fertig.)
Some small improvements for
"Tatoeba Symbol Insert Helper"
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/102000
I'hve done a little update to this script. It now names some of the unknown codes in english. And has some improved capabilities (e.g. in the french set: replace "asdf: qwer? zuiop!" with "asdf_: qwer_? zuiop_!" where "_" are french spaces.)
Using a nice addon for thunderbird that visualizes e-mail threads ("ThreadVis") i noticed that the mails from tatoeba are not threaded:
E.g. when someone comments on one of my sentences or on a sentence i have commented on i get a first message. Then if someone else comments on the same sentence, i get a second message. These two should be threaded.
The first messsage has a "Message-ID: <51e4688c.c813b40a.12a8.ffff8af9@mx.google.com>" header, the second one should have "In-Reply-To: <51e4688c.c813b40a.12a8.ffff8af9@mx.google.com>" as a header to point out that it was on the same comment-wall as the one before.
I've recently started using [Bitmessage][1], a decentralized and E-Mail alternative that also features dezentralized Mailing Lists (called "chan"s for "channel").
I have created a Chan with the password "tatoeba". Anyone who wants to try out the new (and still beta) privacy aware type of communication can join in.
Btw, If you feel like kontacting me directly, this is one of my Bitmessage addresses: BM-2D82xyaGbMFn4huLo5BLEZEPEZjizDxBYT

+1 I didn't get Alans message for months as i didn't have time to check tatoeba since then; i only came by by chance today.
The content of this message goes against our rules and was therefore hidden. It is displayed only to admins and to the author of the message.
This script of mine should do what you request in "1.":

Kia terura novaĵo :(
*Awsome*!
Would it theoretically make a difference for the software to know which sentences it detected wrongly, or would the detection improve by just taking a new dump from the database (including the sentences that were detected wrongly and manually corrected).
What I mean is: Would it make sense to have a call to the API saying "wrong guess" when someone changes the flag by hand? Would the memory of what was guessed wrongly improve the program?
There's now basic infinite scrolling in my script, however it still breaks all javascript that's supposed to be there.
It's not going to be easy ;) as each sentence needs some javascript (for the translation button etc), but i'm going to try anyways.
If you use firefox, just install the greasemonkey addon, then click the install button on the page i linked to. Usage itself is intuitive: just click the number of the current page ( in between the "<<", "<", ">", ">>" on top or bottom of a page), then type the number if the page or use the arrow keys to add or subtract one. Hit enter key to submit.
For other beowsers i will explain if you ask.
You could use my userscript [Tatoeba page navigator][1], which changes the current page to an input field, where you can either type a number or use the arrow keys to navigate to the previous or next page.

I’ve updated the code with a little change that might be the reason it didn’t work in FF3. Could you check if it now works? Also, could you check if you’ve got the newest greasemonkey available for FF3?
Do you have ideas what replacement patterns you would like to have for turkish? Maybe some letters that are difficult to type on other keyboards or other special signs that should be used, but many don’t, because they type lazy? (like `dont't => don’t`)
