It amazes me that a sentence like this one http://tatoeba.org/eng/sentences/show/1837202 can be lying dormant in the corpus for a whole year without it being corrected. And it had a "needs native check" tag next to it, too.
My sense is that English native speakers should spare more time looking at sentences submitted by non-native speakers. If an incorrect sentence is not detected within the first 24 hours of it being posted here, it'll just disappear like the one I am quoting.
And the bottom line is that the reliabiliy of the corpus suffers. Personally I like to think that my English is "not too bad" but still, it's not my native language, and a lot just escapes me.
So would "you natives" please be more alert. Thank you.
I just spent an hour translating sentences along with some other folks on this site, and I felt pretty good about it, but now I am told to be more alert. Bummer, dude, right?
I am not talking about translating, orcrist. It's the quality control that needs attention as well. And my feeling is that that could be improved.

Enter: Strg F
Enter: "@needs native check" (for example)
> Filter by language
Select English

It's not working for me. If I go to "browse by tag" I see a list of tags, but no window to put anything in.
You need to use the search function of your browser.
Ja, das versuchte ich zu erklären.
Bei Google Chrome z.B. gibt es ein kleines Symbol bestehend aus drei Waagerechten, rechts neben dem Adressfenster (auf Deutsch heißt es "Google Chrome anpassen und einstellen"). Klicke ich das Symbol an, finde ich im Ausrollmenue auch "Suchen..." Das mag freilich bei anderen Browsern anders sein.
Es gibt aber einen zweiten Weg der hoffentlich überall funktioniert: Drücken der beiden Tasten Strg+F.

Das wußtest Du noch gar nicht? Vielleicht sollten wir dann mal allgemein Aufklärungsarbeit leisten. ☺
