** Tatoeba Day #11 **
Tatoeba Day starts now and as usual will end in 24 hours!
If you don't know what Tatoeba Day is about, you can find information about it here:
http://en.wiki.tatoeba.org/arti...ow/tatoeba-day
The rules remain the same but just like last time, I would like to raise awareness about the fact that Tatoeba hugely lacks developers.
If you have programming skills and would be interested to help out, or if you know people who would be interested to contribute code, or if you are just simply motivated to learn and invest some of your time to make Tatoeba better, then let me know!
Happy Tatoeba Day!
Request #1: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/677
"Private lists"
I have started working on this, but it's rather long to implement and will not be finished for this Tatoeba Day.
Request #2: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/790
"Display tags in sentences block"
first request: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/762
"Can't remove sentences from collaborative list"
@Guybrush88
I updated the ticket -- https://github.com/Tatoeba/tato...ment-156595787
This should be fixed. You can test it on the dev website.
second request: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/237
"Offer "not directly translated into" option when translating random sentences"
I've just updated the ticket - https://github.com/Tatoeba/tato...ment-136025739
[not needed anymore- removed by CK]

@Talisman Thanks for your interest!
You should contact Trang - https://tatoeba.org/eng/user/profile/TRANG and join us on IRC (https://webchat.freenode.net/ Channel = #tatoeba).
Request #1 - https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/651 - "Allow rich text in messages"
Request #2 - https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/788 - "Display a different collor if the sentence was posted by a native speaker."
I've updated both tickets - https://github.com/Tatoeba/tato...ent-156709370.
> Request #1 - https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/651
This is probably not going to be implemented anytime soon, unless there is a more people requesting it.
For now only 3 people expressed their opinion about it: you, Ricardo14 and CK.
CK mentioned that he feels it is an unnecessary enhancement. This is also my personal opinion but of course if there are enough members who feel this would improve a lot their experience in Tatoeba, it will get a higher priority.
> Request #2 - https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/788
As mentioned in my comment on the ticket, this feature already exists. You can activate it in your settings (in the experimental options > "Display "(native)" next to username...").
The indicator only refers to the "main" sentence, therefore you would have to click on each of the translation if you want to know if the translations were also submitted by self-proclaimed native speakers.
Tatoeba Day is now over!
Tatoeba will be updated on November 18, and will include the following:
https://github.com/Tatoeba/tato...nes/2015-11-18
I'd like to announce already that the next Tatoeba Day(s) will focus on improving the user experience and usability.
For this, I would like to know if some of you would be interested in conducting usuability tests. This would consist basically in asking some people around you (who haven't used Tatoeba before) to use Tatoeba for a short session. You would ask them do do some tasks, look at what they are doing and take notes of everything that they succeeded or failed to do, or had trouble with.
If you are interested, then please contact me by private message!

Next Tatoeba Day is scheduled for November 28.
Thank you everyone for your participation.
