I got a message telling me that Tatoeba had moved to a new server. Thanks to everyone who worked on getting Tatoeba back online after her summer vacation :)
Thanks to the community for supporting us.
There is still a fair bit of work to do on Tatoeba, and we hope to get to that now that the server has moved.
This machine has half the spec of the previous one, but weirdly enough it seems to perform just fine. Keeping a look nonetheless!
Thanks for the reply. I can't add any sentences right now btw. This also happened yesterday.
Btw, does the new server have 2 SSDs or is it still just one SSD? (I'm thinking that maybe with two, it would be fine if one crashed).
We need a backup strategy a bit more solid than this. Also worth thinking about is redundancy/replication. That's on the list.

according to google analytics, there's hasn't been much traffic this last two days :(
Tatoeba is way faster now. Did you guys upgrade the server specs?
Some caching optimisation that was left unattended for a while, as I understand it, (memcache). We enabled that with the move to the new server.
The move to the new provider was mostly to get decent support, and also we took the opportunity to go from a dedicated to a virtual server (vps). Playing with VMs is fun but a bit more time-consuming, and none of us really have that time anymore.
Thank you to you and everyone else who was responsible. Coming back to a full-speed Tatoeba feels like recovering from a long illness.
Thanks for your work.
It's a pleasure to navigate and work smoothly.
Yep: D Thank you so much, tatoeba is now faster and better to navigate. I really appreciate the effort and dedicated time of everyone who is responsible about tatoeba works well again. I love this website. I'm very happy tatoeba works well again ^^
