Uyezjen's Mozabite sentences
Uyezjen, a Berber-speaking member who contributed sentences in the Mozabite dialect, has more than 4000 sentences. I need to tag them with the Tumẓabt-Mozabite tag:
https://tatoeba.org/eng/tags/sh..._with_tag/4817
Tagging them one by one would take a lot of time and with the slow connection I have, this would take ages. Is there a way to mass-tag all his sentences automatically?
>Is there a way to mass-tag all his sentences automatically?
This was already requested some years ago.
https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/785
Such a feature would also be useful for proofreading. It would boost the usage of the OK tag, I think.

Mass-tagging
Thanks Soliloquist:
How do I know when this problem has been solved to ask an admin to do the job for me?
I also think that in case this is solved, corpus maintainers should be given the right to do it. I will soon start proofreading thousands of sentences and I wouldn't like this to take me ages. This should also help admins since they would be less solicited for this kind of help.
I don't think that's very likely (it's a 3-year-old request), but the admins would probably announce it on the Wall if such an important improvement got implemented.
For proofreading, you can use the rating marks for now. Unlike tags, you don't have to click to go to each sentence's page to rate them. They're much more practical.
Tamazight/Berber:
The tagging of Uyezjen's sentences is essential to show which dialect of Tamazight/Berber they belong to. We would like tag all Berber sentences according to their respective dialects.
Can somebody do something in this regard?

Of course, Mozabite is a language in itself that has its own grammar and phonetics.

Anyone who has sufficient programming knowledge can do something in this regard.
Rockaround asked the other day if it was possible to mass import sentences. The same concept can be applied to tags:
https://tatoeba.org/eng/wall/sh...#message_30691
Knowing the proper URL and the parameters, one can make a script that tags the sentences one by one.
For the tags, the URL and parameters are:
POST https://tatoeba.org/tags/add_tag_post
- sentence_id
- tag_name
As for the ticket on GitHub regarding mass tagging, it is still low quite low priority and probably will not be implemented before another couple of years.
To answer more generally about your question "How do I know when this problem has been solved?", the short answer is: you have to follow what's going on in GitHub.
There is a wiki article that explains more in detail how we work:
https://en.wiki.tatoeba.org/art...s-get-involved
It was written back in 2015 so it's not completely accurate, but most of it is still true today.
Yes, that turned out to be quite easy to program. Be careful when you connect to the website, there are a few hidden parameters that you need to give to the page, but they all are visible in the source code.
I've done it in python, with the "requests" module. "BeautifulSoup" could help too, but you can do it without it. Even with my terrible python skills, it was not very hard.
