Hey, Tatoebans!

I've tried to solve the following problem by contacting Shinshir. Unfortunately, she couldn't.

I can't find my own sentences and translations when I search them. No results. Could you try and tell me? Just go to my sentences list and try searching a sentence. Ahh, and the search field says "Any", so it's normal.

Thank you!

The index for the search engine is only updated once in a while. When it's updated, you'll be able to see your sentences.

If you can't see your old sentences, then there might be a problem.

If I recall correctly, the search engine database updates once a week. This will not be an issue in the upcoming C++ database.

Hmm... so there is a problem. I don't see them for more than 15 days.

Maybe you have filtered, in your settings, the languages you see and, unfortunately, you created your sentences with a wrong flag that is not in your filter. This happens to me from time to time...
Try to remove the language filter to see if your sentences reappear in your lists.

Checking a similarly old sentence of mine, I noticed something odd. Searching for "settu það á eldinn"[1] turns up a single sentence:
"Sæktu það og settu það á eldinn."[2]
which was added 13 days ago and is indirectly linked to:
"Náðu í það og settu það á eldinn."[3]
which was added 14 days ago, and should show up in the search results as well.

Specifying the source language or restricting the search result to "eldinn" doesn't turn up setnence [3].

@alexmarcelo: In case you weren't sure, you don't have the language filter[4] set.

ok actually I've missed a step while restoring the sentences that was added between the last backup and the restoring of the data after the crash (those for which i needed to do some satanic incantations:P)

Yes! Now I see them all!
Thank you!

actually for the "translated in" filtering indexes, I think i will still update them on non-real time, but it will be something like one time a day, update them in real time is a little more tricky has the "translated in" also take in account indirect translations (so it means basically checking the graph each time you add/delete links and update a lot of indexes, for something that does not worth it i think, actually 35% of the search requests are made without even precising the "from" so ^^)
