I agree. This kind of behavior has directly contributed to users leaving the project over the years. It's been the same nonsensical Dickens and typewriter arguments for probably 10 years now. The admins are and have been aware of this exact issue and other issues of this nature for years now and haven't taken action.
Your best course of action is to add the "non-standard punctuation" tag and move on. The other option is becoming annoyed enough with people injecting their political beliefs into spacing before punctuation that you too eventually leave the project.
Everyone knows that conventions are no replacement for a governing body for a language and therefore have no power to determine how a language is used...
>For advanced contributors: the link/unlink button has moved to be placed before the arrow.
Now I know what gaslighting feels like. I'd prefer to go back to the other way or any other method where the two buttons are more separated to avoid this problem.
This is definitely the superior option.
Jeśli znasz angielski i masz dalsze pytania, wysłaj użytkownikowi CK wiadomość prywatną. On jest administratorem korpusu dźwiękowiego.
Mi pensas, ke ili ekzistas por traduki la "FAQ" en cxiun lingvon, kaj post traduko nova pagxo devu kreita en la wiki (wiki.tatoeba.org).
Unfortunately, my data aren't very accurate when it comes to specific languages, so the best I can do is use the following links:
Untranslated German sentences:
http://tatoeba.org/eng/sentence...n/deu/none/und
"Total" German sentences:

Dear everyone,
I've made some charts and run some other statistics on new sentence contribution. You can find them here:

I am also more than happy to take any requests for a chart or specific statistics. I may not know how to find them, but I'll figure something out.
Bonne continuation,

Witamy!
If a sentence has multiple valid translations, you can add all of them.
If you go to the end, you're more likely to get sentences that are not originally from the Tanaka Corpus. A lot of these sentences are correct but have been orphaned by non-native speakers.
Here's a link for all interested, but I must stress that native English speakers only should adopt the sentences.
http://tatoeba.org/eng/activiti..._sentences/eng
Native English speakers:
Please do not be afraid to follow Angelina Jolie's example of adopting before creating.
Currently, there are 30000+ orphan English sentences. Many, if not most, are of poor quality and need to be improved and adopted to improve the quality of the corpus. There are a few that should probably be simply deleted, as there may already be a better translation available in English. There are also a few that may not need any improvement before adoption.
At any rate, I believe this should be as high of a priority, if not higher, than adding new translations. Even going through and adopting/improving 10 orphan sentences a day will help.
I have to emphasize that only native English speakers should adopt/improve these orphan sentences.
It'd be worth adding that the "official" French quotation marks are the guillemets (« ») with non-breaking spaces and the "official" German ones are these: „“
Schön zu sehen, dass das alles hier nicht umsonst ist!
Im Impressum finde ich nichts, aber wenn man die Seite benutzt, geben sie Beispielsätze und unten stehen die Orignalquelle und der Autors Namen sogar.
