I've given a concrete example. If we don't change the subject, i.e. the car, I think we can take any color from a dictionary and make a near duplicate.
The car is yellow.
The car is red.
The car is blue.
And I think it's useless to accumulate such examples if we already have one.
If you are right about Italian, maybe I'm wrong and these examples could be useful.
> Even 'yellow' could be interpreted differently in different languages
I don't think 'yellow' will have a different form from 'green' in any language.
Can you come up with a language where 'The car is yellow' and 'The car is green' wouldn't be near duplicates?
Perhaps they are useful for people who just start learning a new language. Some languages are difficult and it's always good to start with some short sentences. If you don't want to translate them, you may find something more interesting.
But I agree with you on another point. Many of these short sentences are near-duplicates, like "Tom is tall" / "John is tall" or "The car is green" / "The car is yellow". These duplicates are really tedious to translate and aren't helpful.
I'm not sure they are equivalent. They do return the same result set but the first request seems self-contradictory to me.
It's because of =. If you search by wildcard * there is no sense of looking for some exact result.
The more different sentences we have, the better.
I don't understand what's the problem. You have already posted your sentence. #5303472
You have added "Hi, please I need the above "Arabic" to be in English" as a sentence but this should have been a comment. You need to learn how to add comments under the sentences.

I wonder what we can do if someone requests something like spam, offensive phrase, advertisment or irrelevant item as "Vocabulary wanted". I think someone, perhaps admins or even corpus maintainers, should be able to remove it from the list.
For example, the only item of vocabulary people want in Russian is "WhatsApp". This is not even a Russian word, besides it already has 4 examples. If I could remove it from the list, I'd do it.
Right, they are not directly linked. I'm pretty sure it was made on purpose.
Looks like some trolls (maybe just one person with different usernames) translated different sentences into the same Turkish sentence and then Horus linked them.

I also think this should be done automatically.
Ahora me encargo de eso, gracias por la oferta. Creo que es mejor no agregar el contexto para que puedas agregar ejemplos con varios contextos diferentes.

You can't correct it because it has audio. Ask some admin to unlink the audio and you'll be able to change it.
Nice to know that, thanks. But this should be fixed on the server side, I guess.
No, I didn't change the font. It should depend on the browser. I use Google Chrome. In Firefox it looks fine indeed.

A small bug in the Arabic interface
Looks like the word Tatoeba (تتويبا) doesn't fit.
