I've added quite a few sentences in Portuguese and I would not mind if someone decided to replace he and she for Mary and Tom but please don't delete them yet.

First of all, welcome to Tatoeba, and thanks for your contributions! It looks like you joined only a few days ago. Since you are a new member, and we want to know how new members perceive the site, I'd like to ask you a question. Are you under the impression that the way sentences work here is that "he" and "she" need to be replaced by "Tom" and "Mary"? Or vice versa? Or that "he" and "she" sentences need to be copied into "Tom" and "Mary" sentences, and the originals must be deleted? If so, could you please tell us what caused you to arrive at that conclusion?
