New user here.
In English -> Gaelic, I noticed that a sentence had an alternative translation, and so I navigated to the Gaelic sentence and provided a second English translation.
When I navigated to my new English sentence, I saw that the original English sentence was listed as one of the translations. This was initially very confusing until I noticed that it is 'greyed out'.
Would it not be a very important data point for a user to be able to indicate that two sentences are *not* equivalent? As the author of the new English sentence I'm in a perfect position to 'null-link' it immediately from another secondary English sentence.

Otherwise, the interface needs to be improved to put a heading above the start of the grey sentences, e.g. "Indirect translations:"
as when there's only one direct translation, and one indirect one below the main sentence, you don't notice that the second one is grey.

Sorry, I was using 'Gaelic' as a synonym for Irish.

I've recorded the scenario here with further explanation:

The sentence in question should be deleted shortly (for other reasons as discussed — with thanks).

I quite like the idea of a separate subheading. I think it could make things clearer without requiring much extra work
