Why do you need two "yemek" in this phrase? Would "Yemek istiyorum" work as well?
In Turkish we need to say what we are going to eat, If you say I want to eat, I can't know what you eat. You should say it as I want to eat an apple
eat means yemek yemek.
So I guess "yemek" is a transitive verb.
I guess I got it.
So basically I can say '"Bir şey yemek istiyorum" but not "Yemek istiyorum" on it's own.
Yes, you got it. Somebody else has asked this before.
Teşekkür ederim!
It was a pleasure for me.
