"One" should refer to a subject that has already been introduced. This sentence doesn't work very well unless it's part of a longer sentence, such as "It's hard to know what to think about the subject when it is out of one's sphere" or unless it's changed to "The subject is out of his sphere" or "The subject is out of her sphere". I'm going to mark it OK, then adopt it, then change the English, and finally unlink it. I suggest that someone change the Esperanto and Japanese as well (unless Japanese works differently).
Ĉu mi bone komprenis vian komenton, se mi tradukas la anglan frazon jene: "La temo estas ekster lia intereskampo."?
Ekzakte!
Dankon. Mi aldonis tiun tradukon.
