Нәкъ менә сезгә язам, чөнки мин татар телен белмим һәм монда катнашкан башка татарларның барысы да рус телен белә дип уйламыйм. Ә постны, мөгаен, татарча язу яхшырак булыр иде. Әгәр сез моны эшли алсагыз, мин рәхмәтле булыр идем, ләкин, әлбәттә, сез бернәрсә белән дә бурычлы түгел :)

Tatoeba was updated today. What’s new?

Great. Thanks! Too bad that corpus maintainers cannot yet delete completely wrong items, but we can change them to something that makes sence, I guess.
Edit: No, it doens't seem to work. I tried to edit the wrong Esperanto entry „kalamaroj” to „kalmaroj” but the system refuses to correct it ...

What am I doing wrong? I change "kalamaroj" to "kalmaroj". I save... and the old wrong word is still there.

I figured out what’s the problem. There is already a "kalmaroj" Esperanto vocabulary item. To ensure data consistency, we do not allow duplicates, so renaming it into something that would make a duplicate throws an error, and Tatoeba does not yet handle this case well.
The same issue could very well happen if you try to fix the language of a vocabulary item in a way that creates a duplicate.
As it turns out, "kalamaroj" was added a few seconds before "kalmaroj" by the very same user.

I asked about this some years ago and I guess it'll be to no avail but I'll ask once again just in case sth can be done this time.
On the first pages of https://tatoeba.org/es/vocabula..._sentences/spa we can find some items which are clear mistakes and shouldn't be there. It'd be great if they could be deleted or modified into sth useful.
I've created the following list with the "perpetrators" (I've avoided the ones I'm not sure about). All of them are in the first 7 or 8 pages and sport a 0 SENTENCES label. Also, I've added explanations between brackets to some of them:
*abolenco (abolengo)
*lambiscon (lambiscón)
*churraso (churrazo / chorrazo / churrasco)
*les soins du visage (this is a phrase in French)
*ir de picos partos (ir de picos pardos)
*impudicicia (impudicia)
*sobrinilto (sobrinillo / sobrinito)
*consejala (concejala)
*Mañán choverá (this is a sentence in Galician)
*parlante (aparato) (the previous brackets are part of the item)
*-¿Por qué no me acompañas a dar un paseo? -Será un placer. ¿Adónde quieres ir?

I see now that the ticket has been closed because it's considered a duplicate of another ticket ( https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/1473 ) which sadly seems to have stalled in summer 2023 after leisurely, years-long discusions... Not a good prospect. Absolutely disheartening, indeed.
Anyway, thanks so much to CK and Guybrush for your help on this!

For starters I have implemented edition of one’s own vocabulary requests, and edition of other member’s vocabulary requests by corpus maintainers. This is not a definite solution to the problem, but it will at least give a way to clean up the mess.
This new feature will be available soon, next time Tatoeba is updated.

Just bumping this up now that corpus maintainers can help fix incorrect vocabulary items. At the top of this thread a list of wrong items can be found. From those, at least the sentence-long items (starting here: https://tatoeba.org/es/vocabula...ces/spa?page=6 ) probably could be quickly erased or modified.
A wish for Tatoeba.
I really wish the search function in Tatoeba could have the option to sort the sentences by how many links they have. This way, I can know what sentences that are not translated in my language are more in need of translating.

Well I know this and this is really easy to find tho. Most sentences on Tatoeba do not have one or more translations, so I prefer to translate popular sentences first.
It sounds like you are looking for the "opposite" of that search: you want to find sentences that have translations in as many languages as possible *except* your language. Is that right?
