I’d like to ask for everyone's input: what level of internet slang is acceptable to use in a sentence? I think most people wouldn't object to using terms that have already made it into the dictionary. But what about meaningless internet memes? For example, things from the English-speaking web like "skibidi" or "Tung Tung Tung Sahur."
Also, is it acceptable to simply change the spelling of a word to its internet variation? For instance, using words like "pwn," "boi," "gurl," "smol," "thicc," "n00b," etc.
According to the wiki, sentences should be "written in a current, standard dialect of the language", so I try to avoid using too much slang. But I think it can actually be helpful to include slang, as it's something that's difficult for non-native speakers, so having sentences here would be useful.
For spelling variations, I think unless the variation changes the meaning e.g. with "boi" (within the queer community at least, I'm not sure about it's wider use) , it's best to avoid them, because there's a lot and it would probably cause confusion.

Yes, I agree that slang sentences should be linked to other slang sentences, not formal ones (when possible). Register is also an important aspect of translation.
I have made a few improvements to the search form on mobile. You can try that out on https://dev.tatoeba.org/ and feedback is welcome. You can use a smartphone to browse the page, or on desktop just reduce the browser window width.
- Tapping the toolbar search button on mobile no longer discards existing filters
- "From" search language now indicated with a flag next to the keywords field
- Active search filters are highlighted with a light yellow background (also on non-mobile)
- New "reset search filters" button (also on non-mobile)
These look like good improvements and work well when I tested them, thank you!
Also I wanted to report a small issue that I think was caused by the last update. When on someone's profile and using the "only show original sentences" button, if you click from page one to page two, it deactivates this filter and shows all sentences again.

Thanks for taking the time to record the video. It does not work because you are using the "new design" on TatoDev. There are two things you can do.
• Click on the "pencil" icon around the upper-right corner of the sentence. This will open a form where you can change the flag.
• Go to "Instellingen" and under "Experimentele opties" switch on "Toon zinnen met het oude ontwerp." Then open the sentence page again.

As a result of the latest update of tatoeba.org, you may run into CSRF errors, or "endless loading" behaviors when performing some actions such as logging in, submitting or editing a sentence or a translation.
