c'est plutôt idiomatique pour dire « je n'y crois pas » ou « cause toujours »...des « propos de comptoir »
L'idée est de faire rimer avec un prénom utilisé juste à cette fin.
Il existe de nombreuses phrases idiomatiques de ce genre en français. Je vais en créer d'autres.

yes, it has several possible meanings.
"I don't buy that" is certainly the main one.

That was unintentional, and I've now rectified it.
