While my French is terrible, my research tells me this sentence could mean either "So you have given up, right?" (corresponding with the English and Japanese) or "At that time you have given up, right?" (corresponding with the Esperanto as well as Marafon's claim), depending on the interpretation of "alors".

I have no idea whether in this context both are possible or only one. We would have to ask a native speaker.
