Der Artikel fehlt auch im Originalsatz.
Das Ganze hört sich nach meinem Geschmack etwas wie eine Schlagzeile an. Oder wie eine allgemeine Feststellung.
Ich würde das gern so lassen.
Achte mal auf die Quelle des O-Satzes ...

im englischen hört sich "The coffee prices have jumped" seltsam an, auch wenn er gesagt oder in einem fließtext geschrieben wird. ungefähr genauso seltsam wie der deutsche satz ohne artikel.

als schlagzeile taugts auch nicht richtig. das wäre doch eher "Coffee prices up 50% in 6 months!" bzw. "Kaffeepreise in 6 Monaten 50% rauf!"
