"Sie" could be the formal form of "Du".
To me, the plural "sie" would sound somehow weird in this case.
"Die" is informal for the plural "sie". And you usually don't talk formally about the people who ruined your life, do you?
She wrote "Die" it because she wanted to. The other two options would be OK, too, but would mean different things.
If Pfirsichbaeumchen is of another opinion, why she wrote "Die", she may post it here, and probably will anyway.
