Is this "わ" common for male speech or is it just Tom's style? :-)
It's quite common if you read it like して↓たわ. I guess it comes from the Kansai dialect, but nowadays we hear it often in Tokyo, too.
If you read it with an upward intonation (して↓たわ↑ー), it becomes オネエ言葉.
