Annotation:
Tagged: ambiguous.
The tense depends on the pronunciation of "read."
And what’s the problem with this? You could just translate in two ways.
‚You‘ is inherently ambiguous as well and we still use it in sentences.
I see, this is meant to be additional information. My bad...
So are all ‚You‘ sentences also marked as ambiguous?
But the audio problem would still be introduced...?!?
Read (past tense :) it all.
Thanks for the links. Well, having worked for several decades with recording audio and languages, I cannot think of any structured way of dominating all the different nuances that voice recording can convey, let alone when having to correlate it with text.
This would already be a nightmare for one single language but in a generic way for all languages? Impossible and questionable whether it makes sense to provide this functionality in such a neutral, unspecified service like Tatoeba.
Unstructured multi-audio, for variable timbres, OK - but without any correlations expected!
I will, I will...
Just not now, yet.
