Annotation:

"Sesear" is a Spanish-specific linguistic term that has no equivalent in English, which refers to pronouncing "c" and "z" like "s" (Spanish sounds)

the Spanish sentence says the dialects are characterized for pronouncing "c" and "z" like "s", without exception.

Thanks for pointing that out, the wording of it had me confused
Retranslated

Should I delete this sentence, since it might confuse other people?

I would have simply adapted this translation instead of adding a new one, but if you edit this sentence and delete the word American the sentence would be ok because then you'd also be including Spanish from Spain where we don't pronounce c like s :P

But it wouldn't directly match with the original sentence then, would it?
How's my modified back-translation?

Shishir Shishir January 25, 2021 January 25, 2021 at 11:19:33 AM UTC link Permalink

true, it doesn't match the original sentence, but this way we don't have to delete it either :)
And the back-translation is ok :)
